Tuesday 13th May 2025
hosted by St Mary’s University College, Belfast

On behalf of ERST(N.I), I wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who was able to attend the Annual Edmund Rice Lecture. We were honoured to welcome Dr David Hickey as this year’s keynote speaker, representing the Gaza Paediatric Care Initiative (GPCI). Dr Hickey, a distinguished former transplant surgeon and accomplished sportsman, spoke on justice and compassion in action through his advocacy for children affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza. I’m sure you’ll agree that Dr. David Hickey’s words were both inspirational and deeply moving, making for a truly impactful evening. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. David Hickey for delivering such a remarkable lecture and to St. Mary’s University College for graciously hosting the event.
Over £2000 was raised in donations during the evening, which we will now forward to GPCI. Moreover, some attendees have generously contributed directly via the GPCI website.
