DR MUREDACH DYNAN RIP

DR MUREDACH DYNAN

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Dr Muredach Dynan at Nazareth House Care Village.

He provided inspiring and practical leadership in the pioneering days of the new Trust and was the first Chair of Directors of ERST (NI). The Christian Brothers and the Edmund Rice Schools Trust owe a huge debt of gratitude to Muredach.
He continued his inspirational leadership with the Trust until just weeks before his death.

He was Educated at St. Mary’s Christian Brothers Grammar School and graduated from Queen’s University in Belfast. He lectured in Education at St. Joseph’s and St. Mary’s Colleges of Education. He moved to Australia where he was Professor of Education and Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Australian Catholic University.

We will carry Muredach’s name with great respect, admiration and affection. He believed in the importance of quality educational experiences for young people and devoted his life, including the years of his retirement, to advancing this cause.

Please pray for Muredach with thanksgiving and hope,  gifts which he brought to all who worked with him and shared his ideals.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílís.
