Casey, Henry (Harry) (Fr) SMA (1941-2009): Ordained 20 December 1965 at St Colman’s Cathedral, Newry.  Missionary work in Nigeria, Archdiocese of Lagos, Ijebu area. Served in various parishes – Ibonwon, Ijebu-Igbo, Iperu-Remo and as administrator of the Cathedral Parish until 1976. Diocese of Down & Conor – 1976 to 2008. Served in St Columba’s, Ballyhackamore in East Belfast, (1983-1991), in Greenville (1991-1994), Newtownabbey (1994-1997) and Ballymartin, Co Down (1997 – 2008).

Clint, Maurice (Prof): Professor of Computer Science, QUB. State Exhibition Scholarship. His research interests include parallel algorithms for numerical linear algebra and the use of formal methods in the development of parallel and distributed mathematical software.[1] He received his PhD in 1970 from Queen’s University Belfast on The eigensolution of unsymmetric matrices by simultaneous iteration, supervised by Alan Jennings. His publications have covered topics including proving properties of programs (e.g., in work with C. A. R. Hoare), program transformation, and distributed computation of eigensolutions.

Dunwoody, James (Prof): Professor Emeritus, Engineering QUB.  Dunwoody Scholarship: These scholarships, set up in 2010 by Professor Emeritus James Dunwoody, are open to pupils of the three Christian Brothers Grammar Schools (CBS) in Northern Ireland (St Mary’s, Belfast; Abbey, Newry and Omagh) to inspire pupils to consider Engineering and Physical Sciences as a career.
