It was exactly 50 years on the 3rd September 2012 since CBS, Glen Road opened the doors to welcome the first intake of pupils to a state of the art second level school.
Br Murt O’ Connell was the first Principal. Other Brothers and lay staff in the early years included Br Jack Walshe, Br Jack Nannery, recently deceased, Mr Paddy Flanagan, Mr Jim Brankin, Mr Davy Rice, Br Aidan Quinlan, Br Thady O’Mahoney, Mr Liam Dugdale, Mr Leslie Lismore, Br Ger Gibbons (Vice-Principal), Br Jones, Mr Tom Cooney, Br Sebastian (Jack) Walshe, Mr Joe Devlin, Mr Oliver Campbell, Mr Kieran Dynan, Mr Chris McGonagle, Mr John Watson, Mr Desy Armstrong and Mr Michael Dillon.
