Armagh Girls Win Armagh County Football Title

Comhghairdeas ó chroí le cailíní Ard Mhacha as Craobh an Chontae a bhaint.

Cumann na mBunscol Ard Mhacha held the Co. Armagh Girls’ Indoor Gaelic Football Finals recently in the Orchard Leisure Centre Armagh.
The three regional winners, St. Malachy’s Camlough, St. Mary’s Granemore and Armagh C.B.S.,
came together to compete in the Finals and the right to progress as Armagh champions to the Ulster Finals.

All three schools had won their previous groupings so the standard of football on show was of the highest standard.
The tournament was run on a round-robin format with the top two schools after the group games then playing the Co. Armagh Final.

The final pairing saw the Christian Brothers’ girls face St. Mary’s Granemore.
In a fabulous game, it was the Greenpark pupils who came out on top.  Paud Loughran, Cumann na mBunscol Ard Mhacha, presented the Indoor Cup to C.B.S. Captain, Aoife Boyle.
The Christian Brothers’ Primary School now go forward to represent Armagh in the Ulster Finals.
